Document last updated on: 26/07/07 All music contained in this directory and it's subDirectories are property of Matt Middleton. My contact email is: xanni@catflux.co.uk A breif description of each alias at the music that can be found in the labelled directories, in order of oldest alias to newest alias: Xanni: "Xanni" was my first alias when starting out, playing with a tracker, and just generally messing around with sound. NOTE: My stuff made under the name of Xanni is my OLDEST, most EXPERIMENTAL and therefore my SHITTEST material I have produced. Please note this in mind if you actually listen to any of the tracks in this directory ;) Yet making techno under this name was just a stepping stone to my newest material to date. Genre's you will find in here: Experimental, Techno, Noize. DJ DF~F: My first attempt at trying to make "decent" sounding techno, and even created an album which I am proud of to this day (Only vodka from Russia is genuine Russian vodka). Used this name as it was originally "DJ Dwavern Fist Fuck", and the material created was light hearted. Some friends didn't like the original name, which was used for the whole time of producing the album, until I actually put the album out, deciding to go for a more discrete version. Track names, including the album name were found when my eyes just trailed around the clutter found on my desk at home... Although lacking in production technique, the music contained within was laboured over for quite some time - taking care to program my drum loops and sampled synth lines, I created music that doesn't really fit any other style I produce today. Genre's you will find in here: Experimental, Light Gabba, Techno, IDM. Leaf: My "Leaf" music was started up around half way though the production of my DJ DF~F album. Taking influence from noize groups like Merzbow, I created my own rythmic noize. An aquired taste of music, only listen if you know you are going to enjoy this... otherwise you'll have downloaded the MP3s in this directory for nothing. Created an MP3 EP called "My Mind While Cleaning Shelves", for Raccoon Raver Records. This MP3 EP is also available for download at: http://www.raccoonraver.co.uk Tracks for this EP were made from ideas while thinking to myself while cleaning shelves in the back stores at my part time job in a Leicestershire County Council kitchen. As you can probably understand, this leaves you plenty of free time mentally. And thus this EP was born. I also created an album before the creation of the EP to practice my production techniques and style, called "Pictures". White noize produced from data derived from certain JPEGs and BMPs. Hints of these pictures can be figured out from the track names! Production under the name of Leaf now is pretty non-existant however, as noize really isn't my thing nowadays. Genre's you will find in here: Noize, Hardcore. Operating My past alias, "Operating Thetan", started about a Thetan: year and a half ago, is a name stolen from one of the most ingenious Scams in history: Scientology. I find the whole concept of creating a religeon purely for profit oustandingly wicked - Ron Hubbard was amazing. However, DO NOTE: I am NOT a member of the church of Scientology! Having always been a fan of Speedcore and Gabber, I have always wanted to produce my own. Inspiration such as Gabber Foxx, Solid Rocket Boosters, Interrupt Vector, CatKiller and DJ Plague have driven me to producing my most violent, darkest, fastest and hardest techno to date. Improving my production style greatly, I recently switched to "Open ModPlug Tracker", or "Open MPT" for short. Making use of Various VSTs, I found I could apply certain effects to channels as well as actually use SoftSynths rather than rigid sounding samples. My current programming techniques are also shown with this music - Trying to make a more darker, less funny sound, Operating Thetan is the music that I am most happy with producing (with a couple of exceptions, such as "Army Gabbaface" and "It was Richard!" - the latter using samples of Nikki Grahame who appeared on Big Brother, complaining - these tracks were just made because I really wanted to use the samples contained within them). Created an album, with a misleading sarcasm filled, needlessly long title: "Mega Relax Ultra Chillout Anthems for Pagans" Contains very fast, and very hard and dirty speedcore/gabber. Not for the faint hearted. Under this name I have also remixed a track by Spi (CronFrax) called "Aye". Using samples from the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and Cube 0, I created a different way of listening to the "Fucking Intelligent" track. :) Genre's you will find in here: Speedcore, Gabba, Noizecore. The Recent and current Comedy techno project formed when I Horrible asked if I could remix a song a friend of mine Man on the made with his friend, called "Light a GC". Shore of The original track, based around his Feline Friend called Barbados: Gypsy Cat, was mixed with a random drum based track found on newgrounds.com. The original version of "Light a GC" can be found here, under the alias of "M:J"; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzhI91e2y5M Having just been sent the voice samples, I created a dodgy Techno / Gabber concoction, attempting to improve my production technique further. I have created a couple more tracks under the name of The Horrible Man on the Shore of Barbados since - which are just light hearted, if not unintentionally menacing techno peices with a Gabba hint. All tracks contain vocals from Matt, who is the slave to the God known as Gypsy Cat. Thenkyao. Genre's you will find in here: Techno, Gabba, Speedocre, Experimental. Ionone: My brand new speedcore project, trying to keep away from the Scientology references, and attempt to create more dark, if not dark, intelligent and complex techno/speedcore. Wanting to showcase my more up to date "talent", I have created this new alias, to try and break up the history and progression of my music. I believe so far, "Kami" is my favourite track created under this name, using samples from the popular TV Anime series, "Death Note". Genre's you will find in here: Hardcore, Gabber, Speedcore.
